Welcome to the tutorial for Mimic Elite. The tutorial is designed to help new users get started with the bot.

Step 1: Activate your card.

Run "Launcher.exe" in mimic’s installation folder. Click the "Activate Card" button on the right side of the program. Follow the instructions and set your password.

Your card is now active. Don't forget you password and card number.

Step 2: Link Mimic Elite with WOW

Press the "Launch" button in the upper right corner of Mimic Elite. Browse for your WOW installation folder, and find open the "wow.exe" file (do NOT select “Launcher.exe”). WOW will now run, and be linked with Mimic.

Alternately, if you opened WOW first, and ran Mimic Elite later, you can click the "*" button, and then click on the WOW window. This will manually link Mimic with WOW. This manual method of linking is useful when you are running multiple bots and have multiple WOW windows open.

Step 3: Mimic Login

Use the card number you got from Step 1 to login to Mimic Elite. (Important Note: unless you have completed Step 2, you will NOT be able to log in.)

Step 4: WOW Login and Settings

Log in to WOW (auto login is disabled at the moment). You must change the following to ensure the bot will function:

Disable all Macros
Disable all Add-ons
Change all WOW Interface settings to default

Interface > Controls > Auto Loot > off
Interface Controls > Auto Loot Key > SHIFT

Interface > Camera > Camera following style > always
Set Video Resolution to 800:600
Since you are botting, turn all video effects to Low

Place all spells and abilities you wish to use on Action Bar 1 (including attack, want, etc)
Place Food on the “-” key of Action Bar 2
Place Water on the “=” key of Action Bar 2
Place Healing Potions on the “5” key of Action Bar 2
Place Mana Potions on the “6” key of Action Bar 2
Place Mana Gem / Health Stone on the “7” key of Action Bar 2
Place Pet Food on the “8” key of Action Bar 2

Place Non-flying Mount on the “-” key of Action Bar3
Place Flying Mount on the “=” key of Action Bar3

Place Fishing on the “1” key of Action Bar 2 (you must drag the skill, not the item to this place)

Place all elemental molts on Action Bar 3. The bot will automatically sort the small ones into big ones.

Do not minimize the WOW window.

Step 5: Configuration

Hit the “Config” button

Press “New”, and make a name for you new profile.

Remember to keep saving as you you’re your settings. This profile is stored in your Mimic’s installation folder under \Config\AutoAttackConfig\

Class

Select the class of your character. Select the abilities you wish to use. Spells and abilities use can be further modified by editing the SpellList.xml file directly under the installation folder.

Path

Here you will be able to assign pre-set paths or waypoints for your character. Mimic Elite comes with a set of waypoints for you to use, but it is recommended that you create your own waypoints for best optimization. Click the “New Path” button to begin recording your own set of waypoints.

Alternately, you can also use waypoints made by others, and share with them your own. All waypoint files are stored under Config\PatrolList\ in Mimic’s installation folder.

If you have waypoints from Glider, use this converter to make them usable in Mimic.

Combat path

Mimic Elite has 4 kinds of waypoints for grinding:

The “2-Way path” will make your character go from the beginning of the path to the end, and then back again along the same route.

The “Circular path” will connect the 2 ends of your path, and make your character go in a circle.

The “Random” option will randomly generate waypoints within a certain radius you specify under “patrol range”, with the center being the position of your character upon activation of the bot. After your character reaches the waypoint, and new waypoint will be randomly generated.

The “Fishing” option will let your character fish, and is used to specify where you want to be fishing. Be sure that your character is facing the water when you create this kind of waypoints.

To Town path

This set of waypoints is used to go back to town from your grinding spot. (Important Note: when recording this type of waypoint, you need to start from the town, and end at your grinding spot.)

Revive path

This set of waypoints is used to go from the closest graveyard. Start recording at the graveyard (Note: you do not have to be dead; the bot will connect the places you missed with a straight line).
